«Light for a sustainable future” Drawing competition for children 4-12 years old.

In line with the theme announced by the International Day of Light, Dr. Penny Chatziefstratiou Michelinaki, through Penny’s Light Seminar, is organizing a Drawing Competition for children aged 4–12, entitled “Light for a Sustainable Future.”

The aim of the competition is to raise children’s awareness of the goals of the United Nations and UNESCO, and to give them the opportunity to express how light can contribute to a sustainable future.

The competition is open to students from kindergartens and primary schools. Submitted drawings may be the result of individual or group work, created on A4 white paper, using any coloring materials of the students’ choice. Each student may submit one individual artwork and may also participate in one group artwork.

The submission deadline is April 6th, 2026, and the winners will be announced on May 16th, 2026.

The winners will receive a children’s book about light written by Dr. Penny Chatziefstratiou Michelinaki. All participants will receive a Participation Certificate, which will be sent by email and may be printed in A4 format by teachers.

Drawings should be sent electronically (max 2MB) to pennyslightseminar@gmail.com. All submitted artworks may be shared on social media platforms or websites related to the competition or websites with similar interest (parents must consent with a written statement).
